Welcome, October

Another morning of fog greeted me this morning.
\No need to water the mum I dug up a few weeks ago
and planted in this pot...

The dead heads of the black-eyed Susans call for attention.
I decide to enjoy their dark shades and
will probably let many of them winter "as is".
The shades of the sedum flowers have deepened to their autumn depths
and are matched by the berries (or what do you call them?)
on the flowering cherry tree
and the mum flowers blooming wildly!
Welcome, October.

  1. I'm in love with your wreath of springs! Did you make it yourself? Very clever! Can it be October already? Yikes!

    1. Well, we supplied the springs and arranged them in the shape. A friend welded them :) "Yikes" is right!

  3. Thank you, Mari. It's a little shaggy due to several factors - primarily NEGLECT!

  4. I like the Spring wreath also...very cute and creative. Did you ever try drying the sunflower heads...they look pretty neat that way in a basket or wood bowl.

  5. We have the same things going on in the garden. I am watching for all the Fall colors to take hold here. I am appreciating the rain today, the more we get the better over the Winter that everything is watered in well.
