I know the plant as a clematis. It climbs a trellis. We transplanted it a few years ago from the side of the house to the back yard. It budded out early and I've checked EVERY day for over a week to see the first flower. FINALLY, yesterday!
Several of our transplanted rose bushes have white buds on them. One of these days I'll have a picture! I can't wait.
