Irresistible!

I wish I'd read Pam's advice before I took this photo of a giant thistle
Saturday at our local County Extension Gardens.
It really WAS amazing - taller than my husband, I'm sure.
It was off the beaten path, but thanks to a Master Gardener working there,
we found it--along with many, many other beautiful flowers...
 It really IS great advice.
And I can't think of anyone who does it more naturally than
Sue (and Allan) at the Tangly Cottage Gardening blog.
It's one of the reasons I find them so irresistible!
Yes.  I'm a big fan of Tangly Garden.
(All these - and so much more - at the Extension Gardens.  Always delightful.)

  1. So much pretty pink! Intentional? The mix of coleus is an especially pretty combination of varieties. The hydrangea is one of the nicest pinks that I've seen...and I always love Echinacea!

    1. Yes. Intentional photos of pink. There are too many pictures "wanting" to be taken, so I usually just zero in on a particular theme - or something very unique. I agree about the hydrangea - such a soft & "natural" pink...And I took the coleus photo to remind me to get me some. My grandmother used to "winter" cuttings which my grandfather planted every spring. They always made for such a glorious window box on the side of their garage.

    1. Mari, This one is open year 'round. My husband and I like to visit it frequently to watch the progress/changes throughout the year...

  4. That thistle really is cool looking, and it reminds me of rattlesnake master. I did not get that advice read, though. ;o) Thanks for your comment on my last post. Yes, busy is a very good word for our yard.
