It's a simple flower, I know.....
but I've wanted one of these coneflowers for a long, LONG time.
but I've wanted one of these coneflowers for a long, LONG time.
Today, while visiting a friend at the lake, I noticed she had a few...
so I asked if I might have one.
Now I have one - right here in one of my own flower beds!
"You have not because you ASK not." (James 4:3)
I love coneflowers! We have your color and also white ones and they are looking so pretty right now.
ReplyDeleteI saw some white ones at the lake. They were beautiful. I didn't know who owned the cottage and decided not to go knock on the door and ask for some :)
DeleteI sure hope these survive the transplant. It's supposed to be 48 degrees tonight. Strange summer weather...
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you; admire a cool plant in a friend's garden and chances are good that she'll share it with you. Matthew 7:7 and Peter
ReplyDeletePreach it, Brother Peter! (And my friend observed that plants that she buys generally die, while those she gets from a friend seem to thrive.....)
DeleteIt has a good new home.
ReplyDeleteI HOPE so :)
DeleteLove my Coneflowers Rebecca and the best part is how long the blooms last.
ReplyDeleteCher Sunray Gardens
I have NO idea why I haven't planted some sooner :)
DeleteNice acquisition. I love coneflower and have quite a few myself. I also like that they bloom for a long time. The insects love them.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know that was a biblical quote. The version I always heard was, "If you don't ask, you don't get".
ReplyDeleteNow you know :)
