what emerged--almost overnight!

  1. The stump from the mulberry tree is very interesting. The surprise lilies are very pretty!

  2. Your surprise lilies are ahead of mine. I just saw buds this evening. I like your new background. It's like being under a daisy bed.

  3. What pretty lilies! Are those the Naked Lady lilies?

  4. Cahterine, I don't know the official name - but I've heard them called "Naked Lady" and I've heard them called "Suprise lilies" (as Gardener on Sherlock referred to them). BOTH names are completely descriptive :)

  5. I have heard of the lilies popping up over night being called “Wonder Lilies”. My dad has a batch of them by a power line in his yard. I dont know if they survived the flood or not.

So sad when trees have to come down isn’t it? I hated taking down all the trees we have removed in our yard and woods over the years but each one needed to come down. We still have plenty to spare though.

The Gardens below in older posts are awesome!

  6. Awesome lilies! They are warriors to pop up thru that big hosta.

  7. Tina, Yes, indeed! They pop up everywhere. I'm not sure when they were placed where they are. My cousin said she's had some for over 30 years that my GRANDMOTHER planted (she's living at my grandparents' former home).

  8. I love these surprises. Ours won't pop up for awhile yet. It's been so hot here in KS.
