Perennials romp in all the flowerbeds on our little property.
As I looked at them this morning over a cup of coffe
(1/2 Folgers Gourmet and 1/2 Hazelnut cream decaf),
I realized the commonality of our plantings...
Hosta and sedum seem to be comfortable bedfellows....
and we have several varieties of both.
"Don't mess with success," is my gardening mantra.
I have been collecting more Hosta lately but I don't seem to have much luck with Sedum. I have one that is hanging with me though....
ReplyDeleteI love both sedum and hosta but have never thought of planting them together before. Yours look wonderful together!
ReplyDeleteWe have hosta and sedum too - love them!
ReplyDeleteYour flower garden looks healthy...I miss my Hosta's
ReplyDeleteHealthier than I am this spring :)
DeleteLike never before, I'm happy that most all of our flower beds are occupied by perennials requiring very little help-along.
They seem to be attractive and amiable companions. I love that hosta in the first picture with the silver/blue leaves.
ReplyDeleteI agree (about the silver/blue hosta). Sure wish I knew all their names! Once on a garden/house walk in Detroit, we toured a home that had over 70 variety of hosta in their flower beds!
DeleteThey do all look good together and I see everything is growing really well for you this year. I believe lots of my stuff did not grow quite as big this year so I think weather affected everything a little.

Yes, I can't complain. (It's hard not being able to bend over to pull weeds, etc. This season, I'm particularly thankful that I have perennials and that they are doing well on their own!) It could well be that the unusual weather affected the size of yours......
