...an "avalanche" of rain, that is.
If our rain gauge is accurate, a 4"-5" AVALANCHE!
On my way to our backyard cabin, I couldn't resist photographing some of the
aftermath of the "avalanche".
A siren went off in our small town -- around midnight, I think.
It was a pretty weak one. I went downstairs to get more information.
There was a tornado watch posted for a large portion of NE Indiana until 6:00 this morning.
I went back to bed and "slept" quite fitfully.
There were no more sirens.
With more rain in the forecast,
I see frequent lawn-mowing and weed-pulling in our future!
So enjoy looking at pics of your outdoor spaces. What is the plant/vine in the second picture. It's so pretty. And, adore your backyard cabin!
ReplyDeleteIt is actually a bush that we've trimmed like a tree :) The branches were heavy with rain - it was hanging down over the path this morning!
DeleteMore storms rolling through today. With all the rain everything is so lush and green. I would love to have a little getaway like your cabin. (sigh)
ReplyDeleteCome on DOWN, Dee!
Deletewe've had the same avalanche here! Our gardens should grow well. :)
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your wet yard today. We could use a little rain. Weather man says next week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lush and beautiful place you have Rebecca! What's the name of the plant in the second photo? I'm unfamiliar with it?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look it up, Lea. It may be a type of viburnum. It's actually a bush. We have trimmed to to grow like a tree and it now stands probably 12-15' tall!
Deleterain would really be welcome here. I could do without a tornado warning though. Too much of that across the US.
