Three Blooms in a Bed

 Spiderwort in full bloom...
lovely violas...
and even the hosta are getting in on the show!
These are three of the blooming beauties
in the corner of one of our flower beds
on this sunny and cool morning.

  1. Aren't those spiderworts the best? I love all of mine. That hosta is gorgeous. I love the puckered leaves. The texture is so nice. I hope your summer is going well. Seems like it is still cool? It's been hot here. Trade you!

  5. Love those purples Rebecca! I've never grown spiderwort and wonder how it would do here. I love the name spidorwort. The violas are so cheerful with their sunny yellow centers and your hostas are totally different than the ones we have. They almost look elephant ear looking.
    Okay off to see what else you've been up to.

  7. I have NOT noticed any "aggressive" behavior with my spiderworts thus far. The minute I do, out they go! I just did battle with another aggressive plant - and I'm not sure I've won yet. I don't want to go through that again :)
